Health Care Reform 2009: Politics and Paranoia
Start: 10/21/2009 - 19:00 End: 10/21/2009 - 21:00 Timezone: Etc/GMT-5 This Summer we’ve seen an eruption of talk show induced anti-health care reform activists parading across our TV screens with semi-hysterical allegations of “death camps” and euthanasia and equating Obama with Hitler and Stalin. Where do these "Tea Baggers" come from and why do they hate and fear President Obama so? Our Oct. 21 forum will look at this question and also the present status of health care reform - is there anything left there for a progressive activist to support? What can we still do at this juncture to try and make sure that the best possible health care bill makes its way through Congress?
