Untitled Rap on the Financial Crisis
The following work was performed by the author at a Tuesday rally protesting the proposed bailout of the financial services industry in front of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston:
When federal banks have case on reserve, the younger generations will have more corners to serve.
When top dogs take care of that wall street depression, more schools will be shot up with Smif n Wesson, once they put houses on a foreclosure list, more unwed mothers will be threatened by angry lovers' fists, where will they put all the broken families? are they trained to make room for these evacuees? No opening up Fenway Park, too many predatory lenders got sky high tickets in that first class box, snatchn the bread out of peoples mouths is one thing. This type of strife puts unsavory ideas in the minds of young impressionable kings
What will be the outcome when thousands of elderly are unable to travel? Do these banks know the catastrophe they are about to unravel? Bad enough their medicines are calculated and calibrated, make sure their expensive prices turn taxpayers to self-hate, What type of priorities does this government maintain, telling our young women to shake what their mommas gave them to put food in colicky babies mouths again and again, how many ways can they tear up a community, turn them into reactionary mobs who don't give a damn about peace and unity. If you ask me, America is its own gangsta, thanksta the way it holds its own citizens for ransom with no regard for those who have no say, can someone please tell me when they would tell the people they had the foresight to have auxiliary pay? 700 billion reasons why the people are unaware of this treason is enough to shame the most greediest, who do they think are the neediest? Democrats, Republicans, who all seem like thugs again, the White House aint the right spouse for Congress, the world sees their spending has been anything but modest, what's it take, the End of the world for the President to be honest? Leaving citizens flooded in debt with no raft, sacrificing the young militarized with an oil-led draft, playing cowboy with Indians on reservation like Gharib under wraps. In today's New York Times, Kentucky Republican senator Mitch McConnell said "When there's a fire in your kitchen burning, you don't want someone stopping the firefighters on the way you want them to put out the fire before it burns down your home and everything you have saved your entire life." Well, in reality, the fire has gone undetected for a long time. There apparently were not any extinguishers installed when the homes were bought. These fires have been fueled with the selfishness of those who feel what happens in the minority neighborhoods can be put out with sprinklers....well these fires have grown to infernos, and it seems the firefighters have gone on strike....
