Donate to Open Media Boston (or a Puppy Will Shoot Us)
Well it's the holiday season, and you know what that means ... all the non-profits you've never heard of fill your mailbox and email inbox alike with touching entreaties about why you should part with some portion of your diminishing funds to help them save something, or help someone, or do good in some highly specific way. They're always careful to start hitting you up just before Thanksgiving - just before you start blowing money on gifts. But we're not so scientific at Open Media Boston. Nor are we shy. We're a growing news publication. And, as it happens, a non-profit. We cover news you can't get anywhere else week in and week out and we deliver it to you all here on the web for free. But we can't do what we do on just a wing and a prayer. We need cash. In small amounts or large to keep doing what we do. If you like our publication, please click the big red donation button in the upper left hand corner of every page, and drop us some coin. $25 would do us nicely. Or $50. Or $500. Or whatever you can afford. [read on to see the Puppy of Doom ...]
And since we know that every money ask always has to show some credible threat - some big bad that will destroy us all if you don't give - here's ours.
If you don't throw some bucks our way, this puppy will shoot us.
So please donate to Open Media Boston today. Or watch us die at the hands of a deranged quadruped tomorrow. The choice is yours.
