Food and Comedy at the Massachusetts Socialist Conference
On Sunday, May 4th, Socialist Alternative will be hosting the second annual Massachusetts Socialist Conference all day at UMass Boston's Snowden Auditorium in the Wheatley Building. See the program here: http://boston.socialistalternative.org
The conference is free and open to the public. There will be debates and discussion on a variety of subjects confronting progressive activists and working people in general. Of particular note, Socialist Alternative will once again be debating the Democratic Socialists of America on the question: "Should We Support Democrats?"
The event, though hosted and organized by Socialist Alternative, is intended to provide a space for activists of many backgrounds and outlooks to discuss and debate with each other. Iraq Veterans Against the War, The Greater Boston Stop the Wars Coalition and other activist groups will be sending representatives.
Comedy will be provided by Spart*-types (though not intentionally). Coffee and bagels will be served in the morning, and we will be asking for a donation of five dollars for lunch.
[Perhaps after the conference, someone more technologically inclined than myself can post a report full with pictures and possibly videos.]
