Open Media Boston is very pleased to announce that we've just hired our second full-time staffer ever: Jonathan Adams, who we have promoted to Associate Editor.
Adams is a graduate of the masters degree program in journalism at Dublin Institute of Technology, where he studied broadcast and print reporting. He also has an undergraduate degree in social science from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Growing up on the north side of Dublin he emigrated to the US in 2010, and now lives just outside Boston, Mass. As a journalist, he uses in-depth research and general news reporting skills, and has an interest in covering broad issues vitally important to a democratic society. Sound, the written word, and images are part of his craft.
Folks should certainly chime in with congratulations in our comments area via Disqus.
And also please consider a donation to OMB. Remember, the more money we raise, the more staff we can bring on. The bigger our staff, the more stories we can cover. The more stories we cover, the larger our news operation gets. The larger our news operation gets, the more Boston area residents will get news and views from the area progressive and non-profit sectors. The more people that get such news, the more successful progressive movements for social change will be round these parts. $10, $25, $100 or more, makes no difference. Every bit helps. Thanks much.
Break a leg, Jonny! As we say in the theater ... or, you know, in journalism.
