Peace Groups Hold Remembering Hiroshima Memorial in Cambridge

Cambridge, Mass. - Over 100 people participated in a "Remembering Hiroshima" procession and memorial on on Tuesday - which was the 68th anniversary of the United States dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan during the Second World War. The event began with a march from Cambridge City Hall to the Brattle Square section of Harvard Square where a memorial was held. Several speakers addressed the crowd, including city officials and local peace activists. Attendees then screened the documentary "Hibakusha: Our Life to Live" at the Brattle Theater. The memorial was sponsored by Massachusetts Peace Action, the City of Cambridge, Harvard Square Merchants, and several other community organizations.
