Activists Hold Funeral Procession to Protest Gaza Deaths

BOSTON/Copley Square - NEWS BRIEF: 400 protesters joined a solemn silent funeral procession through the streets of Boston today. Palestinian flag-draped mock coffins were carried to mark the deaths of the over 800 people killed in Israel's military assault on Gaza thus far. The march started in Copley Square and proceeded downtown with pauses for speakers who condemned the war. It was organized by several local peace and pro-Palestinian organizations. The Boston action was in solidarity with other actions for Gaza taking place across the globe with 2 large actions today in New York City and Washington DC. A bus and several vans carrying protesters traveled from Boston last night to the Washington DC action today.
